A. Yes, each attendee must pay their registration fee and three (3) nights lodging as a deposit. The remaining balance must be paid 90 days prior to the first day of the event. At the time of your registration, your credit card does not automatically get charged. We receive the registration and contact you to confirm all the details before processing any payments.
A. REGISTRATION cancellation must be confirmed in writing prior to the first day of the meeting. A $100 registration processing fee is nonrefundable but may be applied to a future conference. LODGING cancellation must be received in writing 90 days prior to the first day of the meeting. After that date lodging deposits are nonrefundable.
A. Each person is responsible for setting up their own travel arrangements. So feel free to utilize your Frequent Flier miles or whichever airline works best for you. Tropical CE does arrange airport transfers to and from the resort. *The exception to this is for our Adventure CE events where we need to keep the group together (Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Italy, etc).
A. Discounts for airfare are listed on each destination’s webpage.
A. You can arrive three days prior to the meeting date and/or depart three days after and still receive the benefits of our group rate.
A. Yes. These courses meet the requirements for CE deductibility under the Tax Reform Act. However, we suggest you consult your own financial authority for specific interpretation.
A. You will receive a $100 discount off your registration if you register before each meeting’s early registration deadline.
A. Yes. Early registration for a para-optometric is $295 if they register by the meeting’s deadline, otherwise it will be $345.
A. Yes. We highly encourage families and friends to attend. Most locations are very family-friendly, with activities for children. In addition, we have many guests bring along friends to take advantage of our group rates and group activities that we have planned.
A. Activity information will be available via the website or you can contact a Tropical CE member.
A. Yes, all hours are COPE approved.
A. A certificate will be sent to you after the meeting. Additionally, your attendance information will be electronically sent to COPE (ARBO) on your behalf.
A. Yes. However, we must have a written request at least 180 days prior to the event.
A. Meeting size depends on the meeting location, however we try to keep meetings to 75-100 attendees, so that we can maintain that personal touch.
A. We strongly urge attendees to register early, so that you may take advantage of our discounts and also to guarantee a spot as they are limited.
A. Yes. Even though a deadline for early registration is given, it is possible that a meeting will sell out. We can try to get additional rooms, however we do recommend registering as early as possible.
A. Yes. World-renowned speakers with cutting edge topics teach our classes.
A. Tuition includes the 20 hours of continuing education, CE certification, a welcome reception and food during the educational sessions.
